Kids are only allowed at pool tables during private events where entire rooms are closed to the public.

The laws regarding minors at Uptown Billiards are complicated by the fact that minors must walk through a bar (illegal) en route to get to a dining room (legal). The OLCC, because of our committment to food service, has offered to work with us so that we can accommodate minors under certain circumstances:

~ Minors may only dine with us if we have notice 24 hours in advance that a minor will be on the premises. We are required by law to change signs and "make a distinct monitoring plan for every minor on the premesis before their arrival." You may give notice of your minor in the notes of your on-line reservation or you may call us at 503.226.6909.

~Minors are not allowed to be at the pool tables or dart boards at any time (except for private events where entire rooms are rented and closed to the public).

~ We cannot accommodate minors in the dining room prior to 6:30 but minors may dine outside any time of the evening. This is common sense, but minors may not partake in Happy Hour promotions.

~ Minors dining both upstairs and down must be accompanied by a parent as they head to the "potty."

~ Because minors must always be in the presence of a guardian, the number of minors in a party may not exceed the number of adults.

~ Shockingly, these laws apply to even a 4 month old who will be sleeping under your table:, we still must make preparations PRIOR TO your arrival. We will have no choice but to turn unannounced guests with minors away.

Corporate and Family Events: if you are renting space at UBC with a large group, we have ways of working with the OLCC to host any minors in attendance. We must still make preparations for their arrival. Please make sure Jenn has a headcount and the names of your minor attendees as early as possible prior to your event.
